Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) Reform: What's New & How It May Affect You

Overview

This webinar provides an overview of recent amendments to the federal Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA). On June 22, 2016, the Frank R. Lautenberg Chemical Safety for the 21st Century Act was signed into law, substantially amending TSCA. The new law, which received bipartisan support in both the U.S. House of Representatives and the Senate, includes much needed improvements such as requirements that EPA evaluate existing chemicals, a new risk-based safety standard, and increased public transparency of chemical information.

Watch to learn about how the amendments affect:

  • New chemical review
  • Existing chemical review and management
  • The TSCA Inventory
  • Confidential business information
